Lift Station No. 1

TKDA assisted the City of Brooklyn Center with the rehabilitation of a 20-year-old, 5,000 gpm lift station. Our services included preparing the design basis report, developing plans and specifications for bidding, and performing construction observation and management.

Project features include:

• Removing and replacing three 1,700 gpm pumps
• Adding an influent submersible grinder to reduce debris accumulation in the wet well
• Installing a flushing system and hydraulic improvements to the wet well to reduce accumulation of solids in the wet well
• Replacing the motor control center, SCADA interface, and automatic transfer switch for backup power
