Ben Zeier Joins TKDA as Water/Wastewater Market Manager
We are pleased to share that Ben Zeier has joined TKDA as our new Water/Wastewater Market Manager. With over 15 years of experience serving the drinking water, wastewater, and municipal engineering fields, Ben has completed a wide array of projects as a project manager and senior water engineer.
After receiving his master’s degree in environmental engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Ben designed and developed pumping systems, distribution systems, lead service line replacement plans, drinking water master plans, and drinking water treatment plants. These projects included surface water, groundwater, and groundwater under the influence of surface water utilizing multiple treatment technologies. During his career, he has gained a breadth of experience with leadership, personal development training, and marketing and business development.
During his professional career, Ben has worked on and led various water and wastewater engineering projects. One of his favorite projects is the City of Appleton Lead Service Line Plan project. Ben helped the City develop a plan for replacing lead service lines and developing a preliminary inventory. This project initially included over 7,000 service lines of unknown material. Ben worked with a lead service modeling partner to minimize the number of unknowns. He also helped the City obtain state-revolving funding of $500,000 to replace lead service lines.
Ben is excited to serve as the Water/Wastewater Market manager and to help continue bring work in from existing water/wastewater clients in Minnesota and across the Midwest.
