Michael Kiefer Joins TKDA as a Senior Mechanical Engineer
We are excited to announce that Michael Kiefer has joined our facilities team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. With over 12 years of engineering and project management experience, Michael has worked on projects for the industrial, higher education, commercial, and retail markets. He has extensive engineering experience with critical HVAC systems, central utility plants, and steam distribution systems and is adept at facility energy modeling, hydraulic modeling, and pipe stress analysis.
Michael received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Minnesota State University-Mankato. Throughout his career, he has gained a wealth of experience working as a project engineer and project manager, as well as working in business development for both large and small clients. He received his master’s degree in Corporate Finance from the University of Minnesota in 2023.
During his professional career, Michael has worked on and led numerous engineering projects. One of his most remarkable projects is the University of Minnesota Main Energy Plant 6000-ton steam turbine-driven chiller expansion with a custom concrete cooling tower complete with a brick façade to match the University buildings.
Michael has experience working on multi-disciplined teams and is eager to continue his career with our integrated team of engineers, architects, and planners. He is excited to learn and grow in a full-service firm with a proven track record of strong project leadership and quality.
