TKDA provided construction inspection for the mill and overlay of CSAH 42 through the City of Burnsville. This Federal Aid project was over three miles long and involved ADA improvements, storm sewer repairs, spot curb replacement, driveway aprons, and pavement mill and overlay. For much of the corridor, the road is six lanes wide and sees over 50,000 vehicles per day. The project required significant coordination with property owners, local business owners, transit agencies, and others to ensure the schedule and access were always maintained. With the number of vehicles the highway sees each day, the mill and overlay operations were conducted in the overnight hours to help ease the congestion that this work may cause during the day. Overall, TKDA coordinated with all the various stakeholders to help ensure a successful project.
