Minnesota State Fair Ticketing Office

TKDA provided full programming, predesign, and final design services for a partial renovation of the former CW Television Studio building, converting it into a State Fair ticketing office. The goal was to create a ticket office with adjacent, covered exterior transaction windows. The team worked with the State Fair to analyze the site and facility for code and accessibility issues. From that exercise, the project developed new restrooms, a breakroom, storage space, open office space for future expansion, an entry plaza ramp, accessible parking stalls, and a new emergency exit on the lower level. Mechanical and electrical upgrades were also provided. These upgrades addressed the existing disjointed systems with future renovations, creating solutions that were both flexible and expandable.
