The Steam Generation Facility (SGF) at the Andersen Corporation Bayport facility is a testament to the sustainability goals of Minnesota’s largest window manufacturer. The 15,000 SF facility is capable of delivering up to 120,000 lb/hr of steam using waste wood as the principal fuel. This unique design, prepared by TKDA’s engineering team, is based on new wood-fired boilers and a Warm Water Recovery System (WWRS). A new multi-fuel back-up boiler was also part of this award-winning project.
