Sandra Suver Joins TKDA as Rail Market Manager

TKDA is excited to announce the addition of Sandra Suver to our team as a Program and Project Management Market Manager in our rail group! As a seasoned and proven leader, mentor, and manager with over 30 years of experience, Sandy has used her analytical and organizational skills to work in transportation, logistics, and procurement. She has extensive experience developing and implementing standard work and utilizing lean principles.

During her professional career, Sandy has served as a Director of Field Operations, Senior Director of Regional Procurement, and the Manager of Transportation Planning. Most recently, she managed teams and a large supplier base to support fuel, industrial wastewater, and water well mixed infrastructure for Union Pacific Railroad.

One of Sandy’s favorite projects that she has worked on was the DFO Tank Replacement for Union Pacific Railroad, where she managed all aspects of the project to replace the existing 1M gallon DFO tank. The project included constructing a new 850K gallon tank, modifying piping, upgrading earthen berm containment, installing new cathodic protection, and demolishing the old tank. During the project, she identified several cost-saving opportunities by reusing existing, good-condition MOVs, piping supports, and pressure gauges. Overall, this project addressed removing the OPA90 status from the yard and included permitting and plan updates.
