TKDA Hires New Senior Civil Engineer
We are excited to announce that Chad Ayers has joined our facilities team as a Senior Civil Engineer. With over 28 years of engineering and management experience, Chad has worked on public and private projects involving site, utility, grading design, contract preparation, bidding, scheduling, and construction management. His expertise in civil engineering is invaluable as he joins our team.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota, Chad progressed his career by gaining experience with transportation, infrastructure, commercial, and residential land development projects. He also worked on surveying, construction inspections, and construction observation. Throughout his career, he has garnered a breadth of experience working as a project engineer and project manager, as well as working in business development.
During his professional career, Chad has worked on and led numerous engineering projects. One of his most remarkable projects is the Crescent Dunes Solar Energy Project, a solar thermal power project with an installed capacity of 110 megawatt and 1.1 gigawatt-hours of energy storage located near Tonopah, Nevada. Crescent Dunes is the first commercial concentrated solar power plant with a central receiver tower and advanced molten salt energy storage technology at full scale. Operated by its new owner, ACS, and in a new contract with NV Energy, it now supplies solar energy at night only, drawing on thermal energy stored each day.
Chad is excited to continue his career and transition into an integrated firm at TKDA. He is looking forward to working alongside a great group of multi-discipline professionals and specialists to provide outstanding service and comprehensive solutions to new clientele.
